NaNoWriMo
November is usually remembered for Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and holiday prep. However, for some writers, November is recognized as NaNoWriMo, National Novel Writing Month. During NaNoWriMo, participants are asked to write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days, and if the goal is reached, you recieve a certificate for writing a novel.
This will be my fourth novel I'll be writing for NaNoWriMo, and each year, I don't get much further than 8,000 words into my novel. However, this year, I started planning my novel early. Though I'm not sure that I will meet the 50,000 word goal, if I'm able to reach even HALF of that, I'll be thrilled.
For anyone interested in participating in NaNoWriMo, begin planning your novel now! Here's a list of resources that help plan your novel, write characters, AND assess how well the plot and characters will be received. Happy Writing!
