Unboxing- OwlCrate
For any of you guys that know me, you know that ordering books makes me so happy. Thriftbooks, Amazon, B&N, whenever I buy books online, I have something to look forward to, and I love that. But for someone who loves the anticipation of getting books in the mail, I've never tried a subscription box before. I decided to try one out this month, and after doing a little bit of research, I decided to try out Owl Crate.
Now, full disclosure, I'm cheap, so I chose NOT to order the most recent box. Instead, I ordered one of the past boxes (I believe it was the August 2017 one) that was themed "Sailors, Ships, and Seas," because it was a little less expensive. But, since I was so pleased with this box, I'll probably give a different box a try sometime soon!
As soon as you open this box, you're greeted with the Spoiler Card, which tells you what's in the box, and who created everything. This book included:
- A pendant necklace by TheGeekyCauldron (Which is on top of the book)
- An octopus notepad from BoyGirlParty (The cute little dude with the paper hat)
- Mermaid washi tape by SimplyGilded (Pictured next to the box, but unfortunately, you can't see the design well)
- A tea towel by Kitch Studios (Next to the book)
- Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller
- A signed bookplate from Tricia Levenseller
- and a Daughter of the Pirate King temporary tattoo
Overall, I'm excited to read this book (and check out the book that they advertised in the box, called Song of the Current), and I LOVE all of the things in this box! I'm excited to check out other subscription boxes, and to continue to order from OwlCrate.
Got a favorite subscription box? Have you read Daughter of a Pirate King? Let me know in the comments, on my Facebook, or via Twitter. Happy reading!
